DESIGNING FOR GOLF

Technology & design for the sport of golf is like many other things in life.  Nothing is really new, it just keeps evolving into something better.

In the past few years, we have studied the golf equipment market to see what can be improved with mainstream brands like Odyssey, Ping, and Titleist.  These large companies echo the same goals as car manufacturers:  strict profit margins achieved for high volumes.  Therefore, a lot of good design concepts are not economically feasible for high quantity production.  From an aftermarket standpoint, applying motorsport design to existing products achieves new heights in performance and aesthetics.   The putter is the one club in the bag that most professional golfers play by preference, not by contract.  So there lies an opportunity to use our experience to optimize and customize to users' needs in the hopes of finding gains.

The Odyssey White Hot 8 above is an example of using our experience to optimize and customize to users' needs in the hopes of finding gains.  Below is a gallery summarizing the CAD work that is part of our learning process with the putter.  See our links for optimizing.
