Though the inserts may wear out, the materials and putter designs may stand the test of time, especially with a new aftermarket insert. This offerings below are from the HP Jet Fusion 3D printers from www.shapeways.com. It is a tough nylon hybrid material, which is softer than metal, and it offers a responsive, consistent roll, while maintaining the club's original head weight.
